• Do you offer free estimates? Yes! Give us a call, text, or email to set up a time for Wes to come out and take a look. He will then get back to you with an estimate.

• What areas do you serve? We are located in Grantsburg, WI but also serve a wide area! Some towns we have been to: Danbury, Spooner, Balsam Lake, St. Croix Falls, Frederic, Webster, Minong, Luck, Siren, Hinckley, Sandstone, Pine City, Forest Lake, and more! If you're curious if we will come to you, just give us a call! Chances are that we do.

• Are you insured? Yes, Davis Glass Solutions is insured.

• Do you provide commercial and residential services? Yes. We provide both commercial and residential services.

• Do you provide auto glass services? No, we do not currently perform auto glass service.

• How long does a typical window replacement take? We typically will have a quote back to you within 24-48 hours. If at that point you want to proceed, we require a deposit of 50% of the total cost. Once paid, we get the glass on order from our manufacturer and the glass is typically delivered in 2-3 weeks. When we receive the glass we will give you a call to set up a time for the install. We can typically get you in the week of delivery or the following week.

• Do I need to be home for the estimate? You do not need to be home but we do prefer that someone is in case there are any questions. If no one can be home at the time of the estimate visit, we will likely need to be given access to the interior in order to obtain an accurate measurement and get you the best quote possible!

• How do I clean my new shower glass? The most effective way to keep your new shower glass clean is to prevent water spots and soap scum from building up in the first place. After each shower, use a squeegee to wipe down all the glass surfaces. This simple, quick step will save you a lot of time and effort in the long run. For deeper cleaning, we recommend using a non-abrasive, pH-neutral cleaner. Stay away from harsh chemicals, abrasive sponges, or scouring pads, as these can damage the glass and any protective coatings that may have been applied.

• Can you cut glass for my picture frame? Yes! We can cut glass for many other items, as well!

• What is the difference between tempered and laminated glass? Tempered glass is a type of safety glass that is four to five times stronger than regular glass. When it breaks, it shatters into small, pebble-like pieces, which are less likely to cause injury. It's often used in car windows, shower doors, and other areas where safety is a concern. Laminated glass is made from two or more layers of glass with a thin layer of plastic (PVB) in between. When it breaks, the glass fragments stick to the plastic interlayer, preventing them from scattering. It's commonly used for windshields, skylights, and windows that require a higher level of security.

• Do you have a workshop or location that I can visit? As of right now, our workshop is open by appointment-only. We ask that if you have a project that you need to drop off or discuss, please call 715-566-2255 to set up a time to do so rather than just showing up. 

• How long have you been in business? While we may be a newer name, our experience runs deep. Established in April of 2024, Davis Glass Solutions is a family-owned company built on a foundation of extensive industry expertise. With over 13 years of experience as a glazier, our owner, Wes, combines his hands-on skills with a formal educational background in the field.
